Andre Barnett, RSW

(he/him) MSW & RSW
General Manger 

Andre is an experienced social service worker who has experience in case planning, community programming, employment coaching and more. Andre is passionate about working with youth as he has many years of experience with the Boys and Girls Club and other organizations.

He has a diploma in Social Service Worker from Seneca and an Honors degree in social work from Algoma University. Andre has almost completed his Masters Degree in Social work from the University of Victoria. Andre enjoys exercising and playing sports such as basketball and football. On his free time he prefers to read and listen to music.

Andre believes the key to a better future is in the ways we encourage, counsel and direct youth.

Shelly 

Counsellor 

Shelly is passionate about making a real difference in our community. With over 25 years of experience in mental health and addiction counselling, she has provided individual and group support through a client-centered, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction approach. Her dedication is evident in her expertise in various therapeutic modalities aimed at enhancing the well-being of the people she works with.

She holds several certifications and two diplomas in Addiction. She graduated from McMaster University and is close to completing her BA through Athabasca University. Shelly is also pending registration as an International Alcohol and Drug Counselor with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Foundation.

She is committed to empowering youth, actively creating supportive spaces for them, and advocating for those who are struggling. Her overall mission is to create a lasting impact on the lives of those she serves, dedicating herself to supporting and empowering individuals to help themselves.

In her spare time, Shelly makes memories with her family, writes, and enjoys the outdoors.

Tanya

(she/her) BSW & RSW
Counsellor/ Team Lead Assistant

Tanya is a registered social worker with years of experience supporting youth and adults.  She is known for her sensitivity and genuine commitment to understanding and responding to the needs of others.

Tanya holds a Diploma in Educational Resources and Special Needs from Niagara College, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University.  

She has experience providing both individual and group support to individuals living with mental health conditions and substance use disorders.  Additionally, she has provided support and care to individuals living with physical and intellectual disabilities.

Sandra

Counsellor 

Sandra has experience providing individual counselling for people who are struggling with mental health and or substance use.

Sandra is passionate about empowering people with the tools they need to live the lives they want and be the best versions of themselves. Sandra enjoys music, art and being outside when the weather is nice.”
